Are you looking for new adventures?<\/strong> If you are like me and love new experiences and nature locations, Iceland is your country.<\/p>

It’s on the top of my bucket list destinations and I’m counting the days to planning a trip to Iceland.<\/p>

In this post I will show why I want to visit Iceland, what to do there and what experiences you can’t miss<\/strong>. <\/p>

Top 5 Things to do in Iceland<\/strong><\/h2>

See The Northern Lights<\/strong><\/h3>

Iceland is one of the best places in the world to see the Northern Lights.<\/a><\/strong> You have to visit Iceland in the darkests months with clear skies. Best time to see them is from September to April.<\/p>

To have the best chances to see the Northerl Lights it’s recommended to stay a minimum of six nights in Iceland<\/a>. The longer time you spend in the country, the higher your chances are of seeing them.<\/p>

Bathing in the Blue Lagoon<\/strong><\/h3>

In a 6-day Iceland itinerary<\/a>, you can experience Iceland’s top attractions and activities without feeling rushed, and I can assure you that the Blue Lagoon<\/strong> is a must. <\/p>

This geothermal spa is located in a lava field in Grindavík, southwestern Iceland, 50 minute drive from Reykjavík. t’s been said that the Blue Lagoon has healing powers<\/strong> and that’s why people go there to have a relaxing day.<\/p>

Almost every traveler who visits Iceland goes to this famous lagoon. If you like heat, you will love the warm body and cold head feeling! I won’t miss it!<\/p>

Go on an Iceland road trip <\/strong><\/h3>

First of all tell you that Iceland is a very easy country to drive through. You can visit almost the whole country with a rental car or a campervan crossing the famous Ring Road. <\/p>

If you’re planning a trip to Iceland, consider renting a campervan from Cozy Campers<\/a>. Don’t forget to include insurance as some roads are very damaged. It never hurts to be well covered just in case.<\/p>

Iceland is full of breathtaking landscapes and you will need to have your camera ready all the time!<\/strong><\/p>

If I have to choose an Icelandic natural wonder<\/a> (northern lights doesn’t count) I will pick the Southern Iceland waterfalls. <\/p>

Gullfoss is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Iceland<\/strong> but you must explore the island and visit others like Seljalandfoss, Skogafoss or Svartifoss. You won’t be disappointed! <\/p>

And if you travel to Iceland with kids<\/a>, the little ones will have a lot of fun jumping between waterfalls and running in the open air!<\/p>

Visit Reykjavík Cathedral<\/strong><\/h3>

Hallgrímskirkja church is one of the main attractions in Iceland and one of the must things to do in Reykjavik. It is located at Austurvöllur, next to the parliament house.<\/p>
